Duncan graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree, then went on to earn an MBA from the University of Toronto, and obtained his CA designation in 2000. He has also completed Parts I and II of the In-depth Taxation Course provided by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He also completed his US CPA designation in 2014 and is licensed in the State of Colorado.

Prior to joining C&B CPA in Newmarket, Duncan gained knowledge and experience working in KPMG’s tax and accounting groups for five years, working as a Controller for a subsidiary of Reader’s Digest for five years, and a mid-size accounting firm in Markham for five years.

He has been involved with assisting clients with their personal and corporate tax matters throughout his career. His areas of expertise include personal and corporate tax planning and compliance, assistance with government funding programs (including Scientific Research & Experimental Development claims), and a number of other personal and corporate tax matters.

Duncan was born and raised in Richmond Hill and provides assistance to low-income individuals with their personal taxes on a voluntary basis through the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is also a member of the Richmond Hill Chamber Golf Committee and is the Treasurer for the Richmond Hill Racquet Club.
